教学过程:

Step 1 warming up

1.     self introduction

T: Today, I’m your new English teacher. My name is a kind of fruit. Can you guess?

Ss: …

T: Yes, you’re so clever. My name is Apple because I like eating apples. And I like cooking. I’m good at cooking meat with potatoes. (Teach: meat with potatoes) I also like watching films. Do you like watching films?

2.     Enjoy a video

 T: Is there a mouse in the kitchen?

Ss: Yes, there is.

T: He is Remy. He wants to be a great cook. (Teach: a great cook) This is Ling. What is he doing? You can use Are you …ing? to ask.

Step 2 presentation

1.     Let’s ask

T: Both Remy and I like cooking. They like cooking too. Look, who are they?

2.     Listen and choose

T: You ask so many good questions. Here are two questions for you. Please listen carefully.

(1)    What time is it?

(2)    Where are they? –(Present the title)

3.     Read and complete

   T: What are they doing in the kitchenRead paragraph 1 and 2, and underline the key words.

4.     Read and answer

2.     Read and act

3.     Let’s retell

T: You act well. Now listen to me. It’s 6 o’clock in the evening. Liu Tao’s parents are cooking dinner in the kitchen. Mr Liu is cooking meat with potatoes. It’s yummy. Mrs Liu is washing some vegetables. She wants to cook some tomato soup. It’s nice. Liu Tao is looking for some juice because he is thirsty.

1.     Make a dialogue

T: Mother’s Day is coming. Liu Tao wants to cook lunch for his mother. He asks his friend to help him. Now, I’m Yang Ling, who can be Liu Tao?

T: Now, practice with your partner. One is Liu Tao and the other is Yang Ling.

2.     Enjoy a story

   T: Kimi also wants to cook for his mother. Look, what are they doing? Are they playing? You can use “Are they …ing?” to ask.
